All in all I really enjoyed the series even though I'm critical of the correctness of the props and gear. I just couldn't help but wonder why they seemed to go through extra trouble on things like the sawmill scene to make it look and sound wrong.

Youth has its disadvantages  ... the young folks working the props probably seen a picture of that set up but have never heard a steam engine.

If you watch close at the scene in the third episode where Kosner takes his son fishing, you will see a makers mark on the holster he is wearing.   My TV is too small to make it out but someone with a 65" hdtv MIGHT.

All they have to do is watch RFD TV and they have video of old trains that are still in use.    Probably not something young folks would be watching much, I have to admit it's kinda like watching paint dry unless your a train enthusiast.

Can see the makers mark in this picture but I can not read it ... tried zooming in but to no avail.  Perhaps someone with a top notch photo editor can.
