I am on the other end of the spectrum and much prefer the Navy grip frames.  For this reason I prefer my bastardised pair of Pietta 1851 Navy 44s above all other cap and balls.  I am in hopes that the opportunity to get their backstraps reshaped, as Mike done in an earlier video, will happen.  Still thinking about a basic pair of Pietta 1860s, as in video, with a grip change out to mimmick Colts first release of this model.  That gun had the brass Navy grips that I would prefer.
