Perhaps it is because I know my time has grown limited.  Perhaps it is the current state of affairs and so many Americans have grown so far apart in their beliefs.  What ever the reason, these days I find myself thinking harder and longer on the past.

I was remembering things my Grandfather told me, remember those things of our youth when we thought, of course old man what do you know.  I keep remembering how when times were tough he would say "Offer me a hand, but never offer me a handout."  I remember laughing too myself at the time, but I do not laugh any longer.

Any way, this is just ramblings of an old man that prays the future is as bright and full of strength for my Grandchildren as they were for me.  That the Grandchildren of the future can stand as tall with their heads held as high and say "I am proud of the Red, White and Blue as my Grandfather was.
