In this video we determine that the cause of misfires in the first MCCollough Colt video was bad after-market nipples. We install new Slix-Shot nipples, and the Cimarron 1860 Army runs fine.

Great improvement. When looking at an original Colt Navy cylinder I was impressed with how thin the edges of the top of the nipples were, just like on the SlixShot nips.
BTW, did you recut the rear sight notch a little off to one side or are you using Kentucky windage?

Since I have 14+ guns, I've been called the Imelda Marcos of Cap&Ball. Now, that's a COMPLIMENT!

I think I'm holding the pistol better. I must have canted a little when I shot Roy in the first video.

I saw the video and the new nipples really made a difference.  I am thinking of getting some of the Slix Shot nipples for my two 1858 Remingtons.   I will have to double check the fit as they are over 20 years old.

Pay Dirt,

I just put  them in a pair of Pietta "58's and they ran as the video.  The Pietta's took the 6 x .75mm model

Good luck,
