Stopped at the rifle range before yesterday's CAS match to give the '86 a little attention. Needless to say I walked away most pleased with the 50 yard results.

Got her well rested into the sandbags and tried 2 loadings, 70 & 75 grains of Goex 2f. Cases are Jamison's, Federal 215 primers, compressed the charge, .030 veggie wad and a grease cookie (50/50 bees wax, crisco and a touch of MOS). Bullets are from Buffalo Arms, 260 grain 20/1 flat nose gas check lubed with SPG.

Took 2 shots into the berm to make sure all was ok before I settled my noggin into the stock. First group was with the 70 gr load, followed by the 75 grain. As you can see it prints about 4" high (the target spot is 2" diameter). My buddy then gave her a try and his results were very similar. I then treid a few offhand to empty the cases.

Next up will be more of the 75 grain loads out to 100 yards and a few passes thru the chronograph.

There's 2 dates they carve on your tombstone. Everyone knows what they mean. What's more important is time that is known as the little dash in between.
