I'm sure it has to be an NCOWS approved revolver, not necessarily single action.

If it were any single action I'd be tempted to shoot a 12" Super Blackhawk.

I haven't seen much on the rules for this match.  So, any 45 Colt single action?  Any barrel length (I have a dandy 12" gun)?  How many rounds are to be fired?  How many targets and distance?

OT,

Last time I shot this (09), it was set up as three mini stages with only revolvers (.45 Colt cal only).  There was a one revolver class and a two revolver class.  All ammo was donated, so everyone shot the same loads.

I don't see any reason you couldn't shoot a Buntline.  They are NCOWS legal.

That's my pal Pancho. He knows my guns are NCOWS legal. Yep, thinking on bringing my 1873 Buntline.

These aren't light loads . And yes we will shoot 3 stages . This has always been a FUN event . There is a rumor floating around that Jeff Farmer is going to clean Everyone's pistol afterwards ?  ;D ;D ;D

I'll bring 6 so Jefff has something to keep him busy and out of the bars.

It doesn't matter how many you bring it will take him the same amount of time. He's just going to run a string through the trigger guards, toss the whole bunch in the closest pond and then drag em back out on the bank to dry.

He's generally more thorough at our local shoots because we have a running creek on our range.

I said on another post that the Powder Inc. bullets was 230 grain black powder. I was not correct after looking at a box I have it is 235 grain. They are full powerful loads of Goex black powder. Tj

Rowdy ... you were indeed missed.  I was one of the folks alluded to in jefff's post when he said you were "mineing" yer business.  I wasn't able to shoot the 45 Colt BP match (Brought to you by Powder, Inc. & Rowdy Fulcher - let jefff tell you the little story about THAT) but there was GREAT turnout and great fun was had by all!
