Better make a knife sheath to go with the belt. In a similar style to the holster.

Here they are wetted for shape forming.

That's a nice looking rig you made up there!

I love the look of that flask pouch!....But I am a little scared of the flask pouches because of the way they hold the flask so exposed.

I once read a story from one of the traditional  black powder forums. The guy was using a flintlock priming flask with a plunger style Treso valve on it. He had it hanging on a lanyard from his posibles bag and somehow a spark landed in the tip of that little flask and it exploded. Now these are tiny little brass tube flasks about 1/2"x 2 1/2" long and the valve is a pretty good spring loaded design with an interior, horizontal hole,(90degrees to the spout) to allow power from the main chamber into the little spout.  When you depress it into the flintlock priming pan it will despense 2 or 3 grains of powder.

The opening into this vavle is smaller than 1/8 inch...the spout opening of a revolver flask is at least a 1/4"

I know the flintlock throws more spark than the cap&ball revolver, but watching the C&B fired at night, you really get to see that there is a lot of flame flying around.

This little flask  holding 100gains max still tore up his leg pretty bad when it exploded....can you imagine the MESS that would be left if the 1/4LB++ of powder in a pistol flask exploded on your hip :-\ :-\
Be careful out there ;)

Steven Dodd Hughes did a set of patterns for Tandy that included a ball bag, and a bunch of other stuff for shotguns.  If I can scare up my ball bag, I will get a pic.
