Anyone use Triple 7 in their 76... especially 45-75.
Thanks

Grapeshot

Yep.  I used 777 in my 1876 Chiappa in .45-60.  Used a volume equivilent of 60 grains and a 350 grain cast RNFP I got years ago from NEI.  The experience was enlightening.  It kicked like a mule and was fairly accurate.  But that cresent butt plate just tore up my shoulder.  Droped it back to 55 grains volume and used a wonder wad under the bullet to take up air space.  Did not kick as bad and I was keeping all bullets in a 12 inch skillet I hung up down range at 100 yards.  Figgured it would be great for deer.  Do not know how 777 will perform in a bottle necked cartridge like the .45-75.
Listen!  Do you hear that?  The roar of Cannons and the screams of the dying.  Ahh!  Music to my ears.

I have never had good accuracy with T7. Revolvers, lever guns, sharps.....it works, but real BP and some kinds of smokeless shoot so much better.

Howdy
Plan on trying some in my 45-60 . I have used it in my 44wcf and it appears to work fine . It is Hotter than other subs .

Grapeshot you said you used the equivalent of  55 grains , do you have any idea what that would of weighed ? Wonder how fast it was ?

But the Swiss is the BEST .

I have used it in my 45=60.  300gr. Bullet seated just touching the powder. Unimpressive accuracy for me. I have never found any gun that real BP didn't work better than 777.
