Competition in SASS - also a not so far in the future competitor

This is a video taken at the SASS NC state championship.  The shootout called for loading 10 in the rifle on the clock.  The two competitors, this was the final two, decided that they didn't want to win the shoot out due to Murphy causing one or the other to flub the load so they agreed before hand to not start shooting until both had their rifles loaded.

Red River Ray, big guy shooting on the right side of the stage just finished shooting Winter Range.  One miss for the match, last rifle shot and he's in the top 16 overall so he'll be in the shoot off today.  We have some awesome shooters in NC.


In case you're wondering about women in competition, here's Six Gun Sallie, look for her name at Winter Range today too.  Shooting the final round of the 2010 SC state championship.

Future competitors and sure to be future competition?  We have that too.  Meet Kat A Klizum shooting her second stage at her first match.

Great stuff Camille!! Yes we are blessed to have some of the top shooters in the country here in the Carolinas. Not only are they top shooters, they are great ambassadors for our sport. I remember when I first started we wound up on a posse at Mule Camp with Red River Ray, Six Gun Sally, Dingo Dave, Kill Em All Kate, Red Cent....and to many to name. They were all out to win, and most did win their categories. But they all took the time to help us with all the little things to improve our game and make it smoothly through a stage. And they had fun the whole time, whoppin and hollerin to beat the band. Then there was this good lookin gal (and top gun) that first sent me a PM here a CAS City, to invite us to a party at Andersonville, what was her name?? ......oh yea it was Camille!! Thanks Camille, Good Luck
