Sam Cobra

I enjoy coming to the CasCity forum.
As a newbie I don't post a lot but I read a lot, and have learned a great deal.

I wondered if there were any other Cowboy type forums (Or websites) you folks recommend?

Marshal Deadwood

This is an EXCELLENT site.

If not for TW, I probably would not have come to CAS City and found all of you great folks.
In general, CAS is probably one of the best CAS sites around. They pretty much have it all here... from thread counting to hybrid guns. To be honest, of all the CAS sites, I like this one the best and have come to call it home.
And, before you ask... NO, I am not a CAS City employee.  ;D

There are several "local CAS" sites, that mainly operate at the club level. There are some regional sites too. I recommend doing a google search to find them as there are several. Though, I can't tell you how good they are.

Since I am a staff writer for SASS's Cowboy Chronicle, it is probably blasphemy to say it, but I do not care for the SASS wire.  The classifieds are OK, but the main board is generally nasty, rude, and poseur know-it-alls.  I have been a SASS life member since 1994, but I always end up aggravated by the conduct I see on the SASS wire.  I love CAS-City, and have been on it since about 1995 or 1996 when it was an email bulletin board.  Best folks around, here.  marshal runs a clean ship.

I raised a few hackles with both Tex and Col. Dan at The Cowboy Chronicle recently, but that isn't unusual for me. I manage to raise a few hackles in more than one place. Yep, this is a pretty good site. The folks here for the most part are pretty nice, even most the ones that I don't agree with. The moderators keep us pretty well corraled. When one of us (like me maybe?) gets to buckin' too high and hard they'll throw a rope on the wild one, ear 'em to the ground and have a little talk with us.

I will no longer respond to the rants of the small minded that want to sling mud rather than discuss in an adult manner.

I'm with you T. Lawman.  I left the SASS Wire a long time ago and have never looked back.  I don't really miss it at all.
And again, I thank you for your articles in the Cowboy Chronicle on product reviews.  They are among the best in there.   8)
