Hank's Grandson is a bit crude at times, but does some really good stuff if you sort it out.  One of his songs tates he'd rater be shot in the face with a shotgun than listen to the c*** on 98.1.

Yeah he does a lot of punk stuff also, but he can do some of the finest old school country you ever heard:

His friend Wayne Hancock knows the way to do it:

Waylon's boy ain't too bad either:

1100 Springs is worth listening to also, yeah just a younger version Outlaw Country, but they know what real country is, despite being "Long Haired Tattoed Hippie Freaks."  But a lot of us were in our younger days:

Del, Sure love western swing, it's my favorite. Can't stand Shooter Jennings, he has an alful dirty mouth. I use to listen to the Outlaw station on serious radio, they even played Fats. But after hearing Shooters show, I never tuned it in again. Thanks for the heads up on western swing. I see if I can get that station. Hope you like WSM, Tj
Know this has nothing to do with Hatfields and McCoys, maybe a little to do with history though. Tj

Hank 3 and Shooter are too potty mouthed for me.

Does anybody else listen to Royal Wade Kimes?

He has a song "Where have all the Cowboys gone" but there isn't a you tube for it. It's on the album Dying Breed.

I had the honor and pleasure of meeting him once, a few years ago.  Nice guy!

As far as the Hatfield's and McCoy's go, I thought some folks might want to watch something that is at least close to the western genre, after all,  we just don't get much thrown our way these days. As far as the "brass frame Remington, better than all the 1892 Winchesters, dressed-up P-38's and quick draw holster rigs in the classic "Duke" westerns....but I still enjoyed them! (despite Glenn Campbell..liked his singing by the way, but his acting sucked)  ???

triple w, I agree. Will probably watch it. Just don't watch a lot ot tv. Do like NCIS and Justified. Other than that RFD programs and Marty Stewart. Then get on the computer and call up WSM Nashville. Tj

Saturday's 9 til midnite on WYSO 91.3FM or streaming (that's eastern time).  You'll hear all sorts of early country, western swing, western jazz stomp, and etc.  The program prior is 3 hours of bulegrass.

Mogorilla

Will probably watch it myself.  Inside every long Costner film is a decent film waiting to be edited.   As to politics, I always figure everyone has their opinion, and they all stink, mine included.  Watching it on the tube gives them no money as I am not a neilson home.

Rafe Covington

Think I will pass, not a Costner fan. It will be more commercials than movie anyway.
