I'm with Del.  I'm finding more and more to dislike and distrust the History Channel.
People like me are the reason people like you have the right to bitch about people like me.

The trailer I saw was longer than a 19.99 sales pitch. Im affraid they pitched all they had in a min or two. All the highlights in the trailer and their is no reason to wait because their isnt more.

I'm there with you FR.  Five or six years ago, I'd turn on the history channel and 90% of their features would have some interest to me.  Then they went though a fad with a bunch of Bigfoot and UFO stuff.  Now the "History" channel is a bunch of jibberish  involving Cajun alligator harvesters, cat fish, pawn shops, and junk dealers.

I do believe they have "jumped the shark" in a global sense.

Bell Starr's Mother has been reported as being either a Pennington or a Hatfield from the Kentucky Hatfields.  Think they will mention that?Celeste

Man I'll cringe at the sight of both of those, it may still be better than a lot of the stuff on the screen.

Go ahead if you want, but I'd google Kevin Costner and 2nd Amendment before you decide.  You know if he gets good ratings from people watching they'll hire him to do more stuff.  Myself I'd rather see him so desperate for work he has to flip burgers.

Oh I know all about that Hippocratic, he's made all kinds of money in movies with guns >:(

That's why I said I would cringe at the sight of him and would likely never watch the movie because of him.

I was just saying it would still be better entertainment then much of what is on the screen but not because Costner can act, it's just because there is nothing else on. Costner is one of the worse actors I've ever seen to make the big time.

I also agree with everyone else on the History channel. I never even turn it on anymore. What ever happened to the days of "Tales of the Gun" and stuff like that?

Reminds me of a Statler Brothers song. Which brings up the other question, whatever happened to country music?

It's alive and well but not on the Top 40 stations which play 70's Pop rock with a nasal twang.

I find it hard to wanna watch KC in anything. He's anti gun to the bone. And,,,I don't really like his acting.

'Bout the country music,,,I ain't been right since Waylon and Marty Robbins passed.

Just my opinion.

Country music is alive and well at Nashville, Tn. The greastest radio station in the world WSM 650 AM. I listen every day by computer. They play real country music, yes even Waylon and the great Marty Robbins. Find it at WSM on your computer. Noon time cafe is by request, you call in or by computer. Tell them Jim in Western Kentucly told you about it, they know my voice well. Tj

Some good newer folks who don't get played on the radio, Hank III, Wayne Hancock, Cross Canadian Ragweed and 1100 Springs to name a few, Don't forget old Ian Tyson up in Alberta.

Have to check out their noon show on WSM, grew up listening to them on Sat night when they's come in.

Jim, I have them on right now, thanks.

Got one you might like, local non-profit station, check out the Friday night 7:30-9 pm (CST)  The KZUM Heyride with John Schmit, Honky Tonk and Western Swing from the 30's to the early 60's.  Patsy Cline, Bill Haley and the 4 Western Aces, Moon Mulligan, Bob Wills and some from the other Wills brothers and of course Hank the Father, (remove your hat please.)  And a lot of Hank's is live cuts not the standard studio work.
