Can I get a rough head count on how many are going to be there?  If you are planning to come post in this thread, if something comes up not a big problem but I just want to have an idea by the middle of March.  I always want to do some different things as far as meals and my plan is to run out after Saint Paddys Day and find some corned beef brisket on sale and toss it in the freezer, this would be most likely for supper on Friday night.

I'm guessing this group likes corned beef and cabbage, even River City John does despite him calling it salt horse. ;D

Do plan on bringing a mess kit of some sort,a cup, a tin pie plate and some silverware works fine if you don't have anything else.  We have a dish washing station and hot water for dishes.

Any ideas are welcome for what you want to have, because of popular demand the beef and noodles will be one of the noon meals and one morning we'll have biscuits and gravy.  I will be watching the weather and if it doesn't look like it will be real hot I'll be also bring sourdough for at least part of the bread stuffs.

I have a really interesting idea for those who are there Thursday night, something really different than anything I've ever done in camp so an idea of the ones going to be there Thursday will also be welcome.

As long as gas don't go through the roof as we get toward summer I'm planning on the same $7 a meal as before, we don't have to worry about that for a while, but I'm doing some planning ahead right now.

Jerry if you would sticky this to the top we'll keep it up at the top.

I'll be there, and anything with buffalo in it.

I'll be bringing some cereal grains to ensure a proper diet.  (Corn and Rye, barley upon request)   ;)

I also have a crock of my infamous pepper sauce brewing.  ::)  Not sure the level of it yet, but some test sampling has shown it to be a good batch.  My nephew sampled it on Christmas Eve and said it was a bit mild, but his face did flush and about half of his sample ended up on his T-shirt.  No holes were formed so I think it's going to be OK.

I had some from a batch at the 2005 Muster and as I remember there was only one overdose of it requiring a Corpsman.

Made of several varieties of ground chili peppers, canning salt and cider vinegar it's allowed to work for about two months before finals running through the blender and canning it.  Re-hydration of the peppers and added vinegar has raised the level to about two inches from the top.

I'll definetly be making the trip to get away from this DRY heat of the SW.
Some good ol' beef and beans would be good as long as there is a good breeze blowing for fresh air.
Apple cobler is always good. Or how about Corn dodgers? (corn meal fried in bacon grease?).
Pork loin is a good one also.  I miss good nebraska beef and pork.

Yep I already thought of you Jerry, I'll always plan for a couple three extra anyway.  Paul the roast pork loin is a good idea, I'll keep my eyes open in a couple months for some good prices.

I'm still doing some researching on the Thursday night one to see if it would be anywhere close to PC, will have an Indian Wars connection with an ethnical group common in the Civil War and Indian War Army. ;D

Hmmmm....It seems to me that about 1/2 or 2/3 of the army was some sort of ethnic group. Corn beef and cabbage should cover the Irish, wonder what else it could be?

I hope to be there, but no firm plan as of yet.

Stu Kettle

I plan to be there Thursday & I'm not too picky - I'm even willing to try the salt horse & I'll bring some corn too ;)

G.W. Strong

I will be there and I should be there on Thursday. I am very open minded when it comes to food. I have never met an animal I did not want to eat.  ;) I will gladly bring anything you want from general Sheridan's army supply depot here in Chicago. Just let me know.

I will be there.
The sanitary station for cleaning cookware was top notch last year. Bringing along your own dish towel wouldn't be a bad idea, either.

I'll be danged if everything Delmonico fixed wasn't highly palatable!

If I remember right, figure on $6.00 or $8.00 per meal payable in scrip to Delmonico hisself?

Bring dish towels if you want, I do have a good supply and may get more made before then, but I have never run out.

Got a nice new box built for all the cleaning supplies:

Best part is total cost was less than a dollar spent on garage sale hinges, the rest was freebies or left overs from other projects.

OK the Thursday night supper is PC, according to a bit of quick research, planing on making lasagna with homemade pasta and garlic bread with assiago cheese on it, made with homemade sourdough French bread.   Made the bread for the wife and Grandkids the other night and it was a big hit.

I need to figure out a dessert, but a call to Gopher Grease ought to get me one that would be proper.

Del, I am sure that anything you fix will enjoyed by all. The chuck box looks well built, and you can't complain about the price. You need to build another cupboard to replace the green one.

Yep as soon as it gets warm, I don't want to build it in the basement.
