OK, my newly purchased old Spencer rifle ain't here yet (expect it this week - and no, it isn't the one that got away from Two Flints!) but I know I will need a sling for it (can't be a good trooper of the Lightning Brigade without a sling). So, anybody know of a good sutler who has a sling that is appropriate for the Spencer? Or how to make one (yes, I could strap some canvas or a leather strip but...) Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

I got a leather 1861 Springfield sling for my Spencer Rifle.  It works well.  I think I got it at Blockade Runner, but any where would do I should think.

The tough one is the sling for the carbine.  It used a little buckled strap (like a small CW carbine socket) around the barrel and the sling swivel in the stock.  Is anyone making those?

An original Spencer Rifle Sling?  Scroll down a bit to see it.

I got mine from Dell's Leather Works for my carbine. Works well.
