Cash, I watched about a week ago, was pretty good. Don't know if it's a rerun or a follow up. At any rate I will watch it. Reather watch a rerun western than a new something else. Do like action movies though. Like the series Justified too. When the grandkids come over, they say Granddad let's watch a bang, bang, shoot um up movie.   Tj

Last fall I was an extra in a western called West of Thunder, it was mostly filmed mostly on an Indian reservation in South Dakota
and the last 5 days in Wisconsin. It was to be entered at the Caan film festival in Paris, and depending on that will determine how
it will be shown here in the US. Haven't heard anything lately, but they were talking about a June showing where we filmed it in
Wis. I will post more here when I hear more.

Per a Google search, 'West of Thunder' is a film written and produced by Oscar-winner Michael Blake of 'Dances with Wolves' fame. It deals with the aftermath of the 1890 Wounded Knee massacre and was primarily filmed on the Pine Ridge Reservation as well as other stunning visual locations.
We'll keep an eye on this one as it is screened at the Caan Film Festival in May.
Congrats B.T.B. for getting a chance to be in a period piece, you'll have stories to tell for years and I hope you'll share some of then here!
Best regards and "Action!"

I scrolled through 30 pages of Sundance film entries and could find no sigh of Kansas Moon; The Last Hunt. :(

Ol Gabe , I was asked to be an extra through the Hole in the Sock Gang, a reenactment group in McGregor. They did the final
filming at Stonefield village, a Wis. historical sight near Cassville. I went up on a Friday, and was there all day. We all went
through makeup (didn't make me any prettier) and it was very interesting watching the filming. They had a crew of about 10
professional film makers, with some very high tech equipment. One of my highlights was that I wore clothes that Pam had made
for me and the historian/costume lady said I was perfect (THE NCOWS ADVANTAGE). It was a neat experience and I am
looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Hey Books!  Howdy!

You need to call Bill for the straight poop, but I talked to him this past Saturday and asked about the film.  He said that it was scheduled to be shown somewhere (that I can't remember the details of) and that because of the film's entry, the IMDB folks had invited him to enter all pertinent Cast/Crew information, "free of charge" if I remember.  Bill was understandably excited and he also said that this MAY lead to distributorship or whatever the first step is to getting it shown beyond the Sundance experience.

As I said, call Bill for the details.

Later, amigos ...

It MAY already be done.   By your use of the word "still" I assume you called Bill.  Good luck. Sorry !

I have talked to Bill a couple of times.  He said that the movie had been submitted to the Sundance Film Festival.

The "still" refered to the post (now removed) that said that the film was listed in the Heartland Film Festival.  :(
