Shooting today

It was a good day to shoot.  It was humid but not too hot.  Not like last Saturday anyway.

We shot 6 stages, two from the gallows, two from the jail and one from the corral.  The shooting sequences were fun with some different stuff but not difficult.

My raw times are picking up but I'm killing myself with misses. 

Anybody else shoot today?

It's much cooler here and I'm so glad

Carnival Match with the Lawmen tomorrow.  I'm going to try Ladies Duelist but shoot it double duelist.  Going to be the opposite of a Warthog with Wonnerful Hubby's guns and his mousephart smokeless ammo.  Hey, it's a step up from the Bearcat -- which is what I started shooting one-handed with.

When I grow up, I'm going to be a Blackpowder Gunfighter, but I have to get stronger.  I can't manage my guns and ammo with one hand yet.

I told Stump last night that I may start shooting Frontier Cartridge every now and then after the first of the year.


The draw of the dark side is strong it is.

Hi, Cammy-
I shot yesterday in Damascus, MD in the rain(missed ya AnnieLee)  And I felt really good shooting, I felt relaxed, and of course I had a ton of fun.  Would ya believe I shot my own personal best in times for me and just 3 misses.  I shot a match last year right before my hand surgery with only 2 misses but my times weren't real great.  So, I had a very good day shootin'.  But ANY day shootin' is better than a day with NO shootin'!

Shot with my EC-SASS pards on Saturday in Manteo, NC.  Great bunch of folks down there, had a blast.  Ol' Henry always comes up with some weird but fun stages.  Sunday was Side Match day with the Mattaponi Sundowners in West Point VA.  That was great.  Don't git ta shoot like that except at big match side matches so this was a real treat.  Shot LRR-Single Shot, LRR-Pistol Cal Lever Gun,  Speed Derringer, A Wild Bunch type shoot with shotguns and 1911's, 14 targets, one on one elimination.  Then we shot the same thing with SAAs and shotguns and then one with a rifle.  After the shoot most of use met a a local restaurant for some great food and story tellin.  One GREAT weekend.  Best part was hangin out with my pards.

Had a ball Sunday with the Mattaponi Sundowners, loads of fun and like MM said, the best part was the pards.

Thanks for letting me shoot that Highwall MM (why do I do that? Now I have the lust for one.)
