That is the original 'Highway of Heroes'. British Columbia has now designated a section of Highway 1 east of Vancouver the "Highway of Heroes". Other provinces may follow suit.

Quite moving to see firefighters, cops and civilians (including kids) waiting patiently on overpasses to pay respects to returning fallen soldiers. Many may not have approved of sending our boys to Afghanistan, but they are willing to honour the sacrifice. It means a lot to most families of the dead. Some are still too bitter to appreciate the tribute.
