Heavenly Carbuncles My Dear Rick -

I fear David Davis is just plain silly.
Howeverso can they claim it is a Bowie? It is clearly a folding Linoleum Knife!

MMMMMMMM  grapes!

I have seen some interesting Spanish (or Morrocan?) folding knives with hooked blades, and I seem to recall that styler amongst
the pantheon of India & Chinese edged weapons... But I stand firm on the Monsiuer Davis being silly to call it a "Bowie "  :-)

Say Rick, is the weather in the midwest far west as out-of-character for the time of year as it is in the southwest?

Jubal Starbuck

Rick:  In my humble opinion, that is a pruning or grafting knife.  I have a smaller one made by Wostenholm .  Another clue that it is a pruning knife is the fact that the handle is all wrinkled!    Heh, heh!

The Elderly Kid

Yep, a gardener's knife for pruning, grafting, budding and so forth. I've seen specimens that belonged to Washington and Jefferson, both keen gardeners like many planters.

Skyrider

My mother had two of those knives, (2 sizes) that she used for pruning and grafting roses. Her knives were from England made sometime back in the late 1920's.
