Colt grip for Uberti Cattleman

Hey all,

I am looking to replace my wood grips on my Uberti Cattleman with black checkered fluerdelis (the same as the white one in the pic). However, I would really like Colt grips or ones that look like them. Where do you think I can find some? I have been all over the web and have not found what I like. Thx.

Western and Wildlife Wonders has templates on line for the many variations of the Uberti/Cimarron grip frame. The grips on my 7 1/2 are from there. Had a minimum of fitting to do.

I recently purchased a pair if Uberti SS .45 and I had a set of Colt grips (black with eagle) and when I installed them on my gun I just had to have another pair so I found them on the SASS classified ads.  Keep checking both CAS and SASS " for sale" items.  I guess I got lucky.  I had to drill the grip frame and installed cold rolled pins to keep them in place.  This is not a difficult job.

OOOOooohhh. I gotta thing for shiney guns and eagle grips. Got any pics? I have been looking for a pair of "US" eagle grips for my nickel USFA. After the Colt vs AWA thing, USFA quit offering them. I'd pay real money for a pair.
