A weekend or two later would pretty much assure everyone was out of school.

Since we are not the only game in town, the scheduling has to work around the other events at the range in Evansville.

Tascosy Joe, you took the words right out of my mouth er, ... right off of my Monitor.

;)

It would be a wonderful world indeed if EVERYONE'S schedule could be met!  It's just a shame that we have to pick and choose what to attend.  And the WORST part is having to miss the folks who can't attend some function because of scheduling conflicts is a bummer, too!

There are SO MANY folks that ya want to meet, but who can't attend for one reason or another!

Hopealong Strong. Friday and Saturday would work. The match director and his crew will work with you. As a matter of fact, if you are up to it someone would take you through and you could shoot all 10 stages on Saturday. Then be ready for the awards dinner that evening. If you don't want to shoot you can still visit, tour the vendors and the tent city. Then be there for the meals. At any rate we would love to have you. Tj

That would be perfectly understandable if that were the case. When I asked about the date the only reason I was given was that they thought it would not be as hot as a week or two later. Of course there is no way to predict that and if you look at the temps in Evansville over the last 10 years it averages 88 degrees for any of the first 3 weekends in June. Last year it was cooler the weekend after the Nationals.

There is a legitimate reason to move the date later since we know of at least a couple of people who will still have school obligations and there could be several more if if they have any make-up days due to snow. Parents may not be free to travel if the kids are still in school. Yes, some of us  do have a different conflict on that weekend, including me, but if there is a reason TO move it later, and not a legitimate reason NOT to move it, why not?

I am looking at options to see if I can come down after work on Thursday or even Wednesday. I will have to see if someone can cover for me since I don't actually get vacation days. I work when the school is open. Looking at my calendar more closely I have discovered those days are not scheduled attendance days unless we get snowed out. The teachers will be working but no students. . . we shall see.
