Well I am  a reeeeel happy Sootlord!!
He brought me one of those new fangled machine vise jobbies, n a digital rule fer my mill and guess what....
Well ya never will so`s I`m gonna tel ya....

A Drift X170 Action Camera!! Pards I`m gonna creat havoc with this I cant wait ta try it out as the range, the weather bein what it is at the moment the HB smoke is lingerin somethin awful so I should get some mean head cam vids...

The lovely bride got me a 5-1/2" Pietta 1858 New Army from Cabela's.....It's on back order and won't get here until sometime during the first week of January though. I think it will make a nice mate to the 1858 Pietta New Army that I picked up a couple of weeks ago...... !

Well, I don't have a wife, lovely or otherwise ... no kids, no family nearby. So I got to pick all my 'presents'

Among them were a Pedersoli Rolling Block:

Then came the presents without pics; a couple of new-but-antiquey looking lanterns for NCOWS and reenacting,
and a set of non-PC Lynville Californio Spurs (3 3/4" VERY pointy rowels) ... and, although I don't have pics of the actual spurs, they are very similar to the Californio in the forefront of this pic .... and believe me when I say that they will NEVER be worn when riding an actual horse ...):

Not "cowboy" but cool anyway: a Remington model 51 semi-automatic pocket pistol in .32 acp, about a 95% gun both mechanically and cosmetically.

Santa was good to me.

Mostly got disappointed.  Have been lusting after the Western Wildlife Wonders Few Dollars More ponch for a few years.  Santa Brought one, measures posted dimensions but... The thing is no where near the size of the one Clint wore in the movies.  The pancho is way to narrow, hits above elbows and way too long, hits mid calf not mid thigh like clints.  To their credit WWW says just send it back for full credit.

Their cotton pancho is the proper width but again way long down to mid calf.  At $22 inexpensive enough to cut to lengh and retie fringe.

Not totally bad Christmas, really like the Aran Sweater.

Santa did not need to bring guns as I kinda took care of that during the year.

What did I get?

A really huge smile watching two young ladies from down the street.

Their parents both have been laid off from work and we heard their Christmas was going to be lean.

We gave both girls new bicycles (secret Santa) and a few other small items.  We also dropped off a little something for the father and mother.  In the dark of night we made the delivery and in the daylight the father comes asking questions and not getting any answers.

The feeling watching those two girls on them bicycles has been the greatest gift ever.

Evendently I wasn't good for Santa so I sold a Springfield Loaded 1911 for enough to by a Uberti Cattleman NM with 7.5" barrel and enough to by a 1000 rounds of ammo as well as a Cliff Fendley holster to match my rig.

40-Rod.  What can I say!?!  In SPITE of the caliber, that's one cool gun.  I had one (loaned to me but not for sale then, da...n it!)  I got to shoot a couple hundred rounds 'thru it.  It is one of the nicest handguns ever, IMHO.  At the time, I thought to myself that it would be even nicer if it were in a "major" caliber, like 9mm.  While looking up this gun via Inter-nut, I found out about prototypes of a 45 ACP caliber guns sent to the military for testing and called Model 53.  You can read about it here:

Anyway, 2 of my girls (wife & youngest Daughter - the oldest lives in Las Vegas) got me a Model 91/30 Mosin -Nagant rifle, (re-furb'd in 1942) a Nikon camera and some other little goodies.

I guess I was "better" than I thought I was this last year!
