I had the chance to introduce some 4H kids to the Holy Black during a recent visit to the range for a cowboy action demonstration.  They quickly got bored with 22's (they were a national championship level shooting team in 4H).  I then drug our my Old Army's, 1st Gen 45 Colt SAA's and Winchester 1873 in 38-40.

You shoulda' seen the grins! Even a little 9 year old girl that couldn't have weighed more than 75 pounds loved shooting the full-house 45 Colts - just needed Dad to brace her so she didn't get pushed backwards!  ;D  All of 'em loved the BP stuff and we shot all the ammo I had with me.

Here little kid.........try some of this (black) powder...........you'll like it!  ;D   Start GOOD habits early!

Or is this like the restoration of the new Dead Horse Revolvers(Merwin Hulberts repro) on the horizon? You know the one in frontier irons:)
