Thumbs,

You are very correct, more fun then you know what to do with.

It's the receiving end that's not all that funny. ::)

I shot one of Ed Horchcamp's rifles once, his perrsonal one.  He never had shot a Sharps so we swapped for a bit.  50 BMG case necked to 375, 250 gr Barnes X Bullet at 4200 fps.  Like buck 6mm Remmy on steriods. ;D

The oven can wait.

< Whispers> I'm looking at and working on my budget for September. I need to get the roof on the shed, then Mason Dixon Stampede is at the end of the month. I've had to fade back and punt on my clothing for MDS as everything I had set up pretty much has fallen apart (in some ways, literally!). Hmmm... can I swing the price of that sweet, monstrous DE AE.50? < Scribbling and pondering >

What I'd really like is an operational Gatling gun. In my yard.

How about a "modern" version built from two Ruger 10/22s?

http://www.gatlingguns.com
Their site has assembly photos, kit information, FAQ. Assembly photos are handy views. Kit requires 2 Ruger 10/22s.

Make it out of a pair of M1's maybe. ;D  22 Rf is so tiny. ;D  Athough I have shot a M16 with 22 LR adaptor kit in it.  Yes it had all the proper paper work. ;D

Well, I shot the G-3 (military version of the HK G-91) both in .308 and with the .22lr reduction tube, both were fun to shoot, only at different distances.  ;D

Forty Rod

Automatic anything is fun, but I loved my M-1 Tommy gun.  Ma deuce is s very close second, but is too big to be portable and costs a ton to shoot.

Now if I could have one co-axed to a .30 Browning on a M-706 light armored assualt vehocle (similar to Cadillac Gage V-100 "Commando".), send it to Winnebago for a converrsion into an air-droppable, 70 mph, amphibious, all-terrain, armorred, armed, and awsome RV forr under $10,000 I'd go for it.

TRAFFIC BE DAMNED!!!  HERE COMES FORTY ROD!!!

You're right, I had lots of fun shooting a 1928 (alas no drum magazine), we had an M-1, but it was beyond recovery.

Joyce (AnnieLee)

Three weeks ago, my son and I were in the car, heading someplace or another and he told me of his dream to convert a "short bus" in much the way Forty Fonzai just mentioned.

I was fine with it, until I saw what Forty just wrote. Now I'm scared. My son thinks like Forty Fonzai!
