I'm going to PA soon and I'll try to remember to get you some from there and from any other state that we go through.  Better yet I'll spread the word for you a bit.  ;D

Check the webpage first. The states that are in red I already have dirt on the way. I don't want more flowing in than I can use. ;)

I got word today that the sample from Sicily is on its way!
I now have the North Africa/Mediterranean WWII  theater covered. Cool! ;D

Making progress. Got Sicily's contribution and some volcanic sand from the Philippines. Sent letters of thanks from the post commander out today to those who have helped with contributions.  :)

Started the base coat of numbah one finest kind Colorado dirt.

Still planning to send PA dirt.  I see you still need SC too so if when I get back from PA you still need SC I will go get some for you.

I spent the day applying all the donated soil I have received so far to the base.

Went to Carson City today Bob..
Soil sample is along side the RR tracks of the V & T Railroad (Virginia & Truckee) Museum.
Still a bit damp but should be OK to ship out first of next week...

Hey Bob your web site shows that you have already gotten dirt from South Carolina.  I wondered why no one sent you some from my post on Carolina cowboys.

I changed SC from blue to red when you said you could send some.
The red indicates commitments to send, not that I've actually received it.
So yes I still need SC if you can.

New pics added yesterday. The grand unveiling will be at the VFW meeting on Thursday. I'll continue to add dirt until I have all the States covered. The pics show the display in it's WWII/Korea mode. We will be able to make it a Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom,or Afghanistan display by switching out rifle and helmet.
Still working on proper period boots. I have Vietnam and Desert boots right now.

A big hand salute to all who have helped out!

I see you already have Missouri....and Philippines. If I'd seen this sooner, I'd have gotten you some white coral sand to go with the volcanic (I presume black) sand from there. Just returned last week from visiting wife's family there.
