I was in Ron Peterson's gunshop in Albuquerque again two days ago (Oct. 2) and he had another Browning Mountain Rifle for sale, this one looking mint, for $573.00. Beautiful rifle. If I hadn't been buying another gun (ROA Old Army this time) I'd have been sorely tempted. If any Plainsmen in the area are looking for one, Ron may still have it. Sorry, didn't notice the caliber.

Greetings My Good Kid -
I really must make the pilgrimage to Ron's I go look - usually I do not get into the crowded river valley until after their hours.
But after purchasing the coming years 1000 gallons of LP tommorrow, that will put me into the "looky-loo" category.

Whilst I am lamenting what I really must do, I really must firm up plans to meet with you ! As our good Del laments - "the time is passing so quickly" ....

Just sold my pristine Browning 'Mountain Rifle' for $795 + S&H. The buyer never bat an eye at the asking price.

I had low ball offers and one from an American who was willing to looking into brokergae fees to import it. I had no idea that it would attract so much interest.

Having only fired it once in the time I had it, I shed no tears as it financed me into a couple of Open Tops I will shoot - a lot!
I much prefer my family of P-H Enfields when it comes to muzzleloaders.
