Hi,

It has been suggested for site placement to use Loctite on the site bases.

Is there any feelings/thoughts about which form of Loctite (or any other product) to use?

Thanks!

Blue gel if you intend to move or remove

Red is semi permanent ..that is it will break loose but not easy

I don't use Loc-Tire in any thing like that anymore, I use teflon plumbers tape.  Holds as good and much easier to remove from the screw when you need to.  Also it don't make as big a mess in the shooting box if it comes open.

I believe "Blue" Loctite is officially referred to as No. "242" Threadlocker.

That sounds right, they also make a red one, that stuff won't come off with out a lot of heat.

Major 2,

Thanks! I own the front site now, but will not be ordering the rear site until after Christmas ... so I am guessing if I ordered it now it would dry out by that time. But now that I know what I am looking for, I will find our who carries it  and that will be one less thing to find when I order the rear site ....
