Two Flints

Hello SSS,

During the Summer, I completed two projects, Spencer related.  The first was a "sighting-In" table for my Spencers, but will also work for my flintlock rifles.

Two 3/4" pieces of finish plywood cut to my shape and preference, and folding legs and lots of poly and this is the result.  I wanted an adjustable stool and found a beat up old piano stool at a second hand furniture store, cleaned and sanded it and poly'd the heck out of it.

The second project was a "Shooting Vice" built primarily to test fire my Spencer Shotguns.  But, as you can see, it also fits my old original Spencer Carbines, too.  I just lay it on the ground, tighten the bungee sords, tie a string to the trigger walk to a safe distance, and pull the string.  The weight of the vise made from 2 X 6 boards, as you can see, keeps it from moving.  I cut holes to fit the barrel through.

Love this stuff . . . ::) ::)

I like the "sighting-In" table that you made. Think I'll do the same.
