Dont let anyone kid you, making a white holster is enough to drive you crazy and I didnt have far to go. I washed my granite top on the work bench. I covered it with white towels. Washed my hands about every 4 minutes. Had clean towels to wipe my hands on and surgical gloves when needed and and still left marks.I used 9 oz. leather and covered it with 2 oz. elk hide. Elk was so soft it couldnt be stamped. I took my stamps and put them in my dye and wiped off excess and pushed them on the elk to make a design and it worked pretty good. Belt will be next but I,m not in a hurry to start,Linning is all red. Gun has Pearl grips and looks pretty good in holster. KT

My sentiments exactly! Wow, that is cool!
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Kid, go slow and careful on the belt.  In my opinion, if you do as well with it as you have done with the holster the combination would be a show stopper.  I would store them carefully until a worthy show comes along to enter them.  The creative idea and the workmanship are unusual and have winner written all over them.   A great project either way.

There was trick...back when I did white buff Dragoon belts .

talcum powder.....use it on your hands  & lightly dust the leather..
Any marks dust off..

two things it is not soluble in water, and it's sorta slippery..
Oh yeah! don't breath in the dust
when planets align...do the deal !

KidTerico

Wow KT. Thats beautiful! I like the stamp technique you did. It really stands out well.

I agree with the above statements. You should enter it in a contest. It should do well!
