David Carrico Back In Hospital

I received this email from David Carrico.  He need our prayers and moral support.  Be sure to email.

I've had a setback with my leukemia. A lymphatic blast occurred. I had my spleen and gall bladder removed. When they tested my spleen they discovered the blast. They flew me to St. Louis University Hospital where I am undergoing  extensive chemo treatments.

I've been here for two weeks now, plus I was in Joplin a week with the surgery. If all goes well, I will get to come home in two more weeks, but they have to get me in remission. After I'm in remission, I will have to have a bone marrow transplant in a month or so. This process will also be a month.

So, this is the hand that has been delt me. God has a plan, I plan to beat this. I have too many ideas and projects I want to work on. I have a laptop in my room and I am able to receive emails. I can't get on the cas forum, the hospital has is block because of firearms, go figure.  I just miss seeing everyones projects.

Got another email from David.  Here are parts of it dealing with the forum here.

I know you must have posted something because I've enjoyed letters, cards, and pictures all day! There have been so many blessings come from this.  I'm not sure what God's plan is for me, but I know he will heal me.

Several things have happened that were life saving events. The doctor said if the surgeon hadn't opened me up and removed my spleen, I had about two months to live.

The forum has a great bunch of people in it. I was thinking we should try to come together sometime at one of the leather trade shows. Get to know one another, tell stories and share knowledge.  Maybe we could try for that.

so he's sitting up and taking nurshment

an angel insted, than I know it will be there.

Hey Guys! Home for a few days before going back to hospital. I call it being on parole! Another month of chemo treatments and then bone marrow transplant where they have found several exact matches, praise God! This is why the hard agressive treatments, they have everything lining up to go ahead for a successful transplant. Had a couple friends over to help fill some orders today. Shipped out some saddlebags, scabbards, holsters, and belts to a TNT Western Series! Keep your fingers crossed that they pick it up the series. Just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate everyone's well wishes, pictures, and prayers. Thanks to Will for posting. Keep up the great work fellows!
