That "iconstasis' (icon screen) is in the church in Cyprus where my third grandgirl was baptized.  Its a fairly new church, only about three centuries old.

My wife is from Nicosia,  but raised in St Louis MO. I met her in Kyrenia during the summer tour in 1972, and we married there.  I was an Artillery officer attached to the LdSH for that tour.  My son eventually joined the same regiment, later doing a tour in Bosnia.  My Daughter-in-Law is from Larnaca, but born & raised in England where her Father, a Doctor trained in Vienna, was practising and who married an English nurse.  This church is in Geri, about 10 minutes South of Nicosia where DIL's parents now live. The other Grandfather is a plastic surgeon in Larnaca and his wife is the school nurse at the English School.  My son lives in Reading and is a professor of Intelligence Studies (The International Man of Mystery) at Brunel University.

I was based in Nicosia '85 to '86 winter tour. I was with 2 RCHA at the time. Great to know there is another Gunner around. I shoot with the Valley Regulators here in Courtenay.
