Herbert, just call this number (the one in their site's home-page header):

(315) 695-2066

They're made in America, in Pennellville, New York.  I can't imagine they wouldn't be speaking english.

They also have an email button on the bottom of this page:  http://www.romanorifle.com/html/company.htm
I was thinking of the Check company,The Ramano Spencers though works of art are out of my price range for a while yet, though I am now geting him to reline my AS Spencer rifle that I have converted to Sporting rifle

Yeah, their price is certainly much more... affordable.  Relatively speaking.  Problem is, if you live in California, as I do, there might be import difficulties.  But I don't know anything for sure.  Still, these new guys certainly seem to make a quality product... very good attention to detail.  Especially nice that any upgrades or custom touches are basically gratis... at least for now.  Hope they can give the Italians a run for their money.

Not a '73 Winchester, but a "contemporary" of the Henry:  http://www.romanorifle.com/html/spencer.html ... it's what I'd hock the farm for, if I had a farm to hock.

Well it may not be the price of a Taylor's Spencer, but if you'd like a slight discount on a Romano you might check here

No newsy yet, PR.

Any update on the Henry? Would also be interested in what it took to get it imported. Last time I checked it was two royal pains on, around and in the backside ...

CC: we got some feedback which implies. Cause the old man of Great Gun is suffering from some heart disease for a couple of weeks already. This is going to set back the time plan by some 6 months.
Hope Frantisek Kuril is well again soon.
Regarding import is going to be a piece of cake because the Czech Republic is EC like Germany. I have now idea how complicated7expensice an import into the USA would be.

Long Johns I think I met one of your buddies south of Houston when I joined they're club last month (Paladin I think? He's the rangemaster for Tejas Pistoleros).

If your coming over in September I'd love to talk about this gun company if you got the time. 8)

Quote from: Pettifogger on September 16, 2011, 12:55:10 PMI like the 66 with the correct size carrier. Wonder if it comes with a short stroke kit?

Google provides this translation of the description of the options:

QuoteRifle can be custom made with completely non-standard requirements. According to the engraving in metal and wood, non-standard caliber, barrel length, sights, stock shape and length, surface treatment, short lever travel, etc.

Numerous finishes are listed.

I do wish their production guy a speedy recovery!

Any update on the stauts of the Henry?  I'm really considering ordering a gun from these folks, but would like to hear how things turned out for you.  Thanks!

How's the old gent doing? I wish him well. I'd like to see the company prosper, for I can see myself having a gun made by them.

Short Answer is no.  I think LJW ordered one after going to their shop, but has never received it.

A couple of my German shooting buddies ordered Henries and Win 66s. None has received one, so far.

How long has it been so far, Mein Freund?  From those photos, I'm sure you'll enjoy your new  rifle ... when you finally receive it.
