What do you wear

What do you wear? Both strong side holsters or one strong side and a cross draw. And why you wear what you wear.

Marshal Halloway

Since I am ambidextrous, I do in fact use both options (two strong side or one strong and one cross).

I used a Cimarron Lightning for awhile and packed that one in a cross draw together with my .45 placed on my right.

Now I use 2 45s strong side, but I might choose a cross draw combination again.

Four-Eyed Buck

have three rigs and do use both styles.........Buck 8) ::) ;)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Forty Rod

Both strong side.

Because Roy did.

Marshal, I thought about that combo you mentioned, with a Lightning in cross-draw. Even went so far as to buy one of the "sheriff's rig" setups, prior to buying the revolver.

I was already shooting mismatched revolvers: a Bisley Vaq and Blackhawk. A couple of pards I shoot with regularly pointed out that almost all my pistol misses were with the Bisley. Since I'm working with fairly limited funds, I opted to buy a second Blackhawk instead.

Lady Law is now using my sheriff's rig when she has to carry for work (she's a retired lawdog and has a CCW permit).

Now it remains for me to get the two Blackhawks to shoot more or less alike, and as time and money permit, I'll dress them up a bit--perhaps new grip frames, and certainly I'll replace those painted-aluminum ejector housings with blued ones.

As I shoot Gunfighter when I'm not shooting Frontiersman or FCD, I have right and left.

Kinda depends on what sorta mood I'm in that day.   ???

I've got two (one brown/one black) that's strong/cross, and a fancy gunfighter rig made by a friend of mine. The fancy one almost looks like the one Costner wore in Silverado. I didn't plan it that way, just the way it turned out.   ;D
I know I have the right to remain silent, I just don't have the ability.

Two strongside holsters. Don't like the dance for a crossdraw. I think it slows you down if you do it right. If you do it wrong you're looking at a DQ.

 >:(One strong side & one cross-draw.  Still don't like the dos pistoles stages, like to make folks reload under the clock.  There's a real stretch for some.

Two strong side holsters as I can shoot equally well (or bad :'() with eit her hand. The other reason is I jest don't like cross draw holsters. Nothing wrong with using a cross draw but my personal prefrence is two strong side holsters.

Shoot gunfighter, so 2 strong side holsters.  Would like to try two vertical shoulder holsters and do calvary twist, bet losts of style points on that.

right now..strong side and cross draw...but as soon as I get the funds..that cross draw is going to go away and I'll be going with two strong side...I think a new guy at this has enough to remember without that "cross draw shuffle..."

Birdgun Quail

I wear two straight draws.  Before I bought my holsters I asked the good folks here and TFS and found out that folks change from cross draw to two straight draws , but nobody changed from two straight draws to a cross draw.  I'm comfortable with two straight draws and I shoot duelist.
God bless,

Two strong sides, one left and one right.  Don't have to worry about the cross draw shuffel that way.

Here's my gun leather.  Nothing fancy, but functional.  I wear the Buscadero rig because I like it.  I don't know which is my strong, or weak side.  I can shoot well with either hand.  I don't like doing the "Cross Draw Two Step"  My pistols come out of the holsters and the muzzles are pointed at the ground until they are on target.  No side sweeping for me.
