Is there such a thing as a reliable, easy to use capper?

Roto,
Where can I find the video? I did not see one on their website.

I got a cheap Traditions and it was useless. I bought a Pedersoli and the inside was so large, Remingtons would tip over. CCI caps remained upright so I keep CCI caps in it.
A Ted Cash straight line capper and one of his snail cappers now work for me. Both of these I spent some time tuning up. Trimming the front springs and adjusting them to work well. Best I've found so far.
Here is a Remington with the nipple ports opened up with a Dremel tool drum sander, so a capper can get in and do the job.
On my little 1962 Police. Forget it. A hand capping job.

Thanks, this is what I need to know, a little rework is required. If I was a competition shooter I would rework the capper and revolver but for now I want to leave the revolver stock. I do plan on going to the Slik nipples. I haven't gotten into difference with CCI & Remington caps, I have #11 CCI in the snail and #10 Remington in the straight line because that's what I got at two gun shops.

First thing I have noticed is that Remington #11 caps which are shorter works perfectly in the straight line capper, the taller #10 hang up so with file, sandpaper and the Eagles on TV I'm filing away. The only other method would be to file each cap down abit, No Way Jose!

My experience is CCI are physically longer making them difficult to get on some Colt repos vs the shorter Remingtons.

Not having the right file or stone I did what I could and even notching the steel end so the thumb button could push one more cap I only have 3 unusable caps without reloading. May have too check CCI #10 caps in it someday.

So my final solution for the time being I put the shorter#11's in the straight line capper and the taller #10's in the snail capper, this combo works for the two revolvers in my collection. The inline capper actually feed a new cap without pushing on the thumb knob and all of the caps were feed into place. I got 19 caps in the capper.

While playing here I had two caps lose their charges and became duds.

Split Rail..... National and International Frontiersman Champion and good pard doesn't use a capper. I hate using cappers so I follow Split Rail's lead....now if could only shoot as good as him! :D

Rye Miles,
What does Split Rail do when there is a reload on the clock? I too don't use a capper at the loading table but I sure do use a modified in-line on the clock.
