180gr .429" Mold?

Does anyone make a 180gr .44 caliber mold?  I am working on an odd-ball project (11mm French 1873), and that's what it calls for.  Any suggestions?

Lyman 429348 ... no longer in production.  It is a full wad cutter design.

One just sold on gunbroker for $45 bucks.

Another sold on ebay a couple weeks ago for $78 .

There is a guy (Matt's bullets) that will sell you bullets cast from this mold.

I went into my CARTRIDGES OF THE WORLD, 3d Ed. by Frank barnes.

He suggests either using a 42798 (Somewhat small) or 452460 swaged down to .447 - .450.  He opines that there isn't really a satisfactory mould.

The French pistol you have takes a heeled bullet. Pony Racer is the expert on these as he shot a couple as main match guns for a few years.

He must be, as he had to buy a french made tool for crimping the brass onto the bullet, and also had to import the heeled bullets. Fortunately you can use cut-down 44 special brass. I was thinking of just taking some larger bullets and run then halfway into my sizing press to just size down the lower half. Not perfect, but certainly cheaper. My wife has one of these pistols too and we have never been able to shoot it.

Gadd's custom Cartridges show a heeled bullet on their website.  One of the available .44 Colt heeled bullets might work

I seem to recall reading Pony Racers account of his efforts and it sounded like a bit of a journey.  I can't locate it now, but I seem to recall that one way to make some noise with thes ol' thangs is to press a .451 round ball on top of a .44 S & W case shortened the right amount.

I've wondered, since I have a .41LC, if cable crimpers for electronics might be adaptable to case crimping   I forget who, but someone alters LEE crimp dies for use with heeled cartridges.  I have an M 83 Reichsrevolver.  Luckily it takes standard .44 Russ. cases and .432 bullets.
