Effective use of the 50 Spencer

I just got back from the movies, yea, Cowboys and Aliens. What was neat in the movie was the the only effective firearm against the aliens was the good old 50 Spencer. The cowboys armed with Henrys, Winchesters and various conversion revolvers had little effect on their foes from another world. The character  Doc is seen practicing with his Spencer as the cowboys trail the aliens, and in the final showdown, Doc and his trusty Spencer make the only one shot kill I saw in the movie. So if you are ever bothered by pesky aliens, you might want to reach for your Spencer first!   JW
