Just found this site that has Old West Replicas for about the same price as Blue Guns or less.  Lots to choose from....

I had one for spinning practice,dropped it,it broke,made of cheap pot letal or zinc..Once they are broke that's it.Just a thought..

But if used to mould a holster and you don't drop it, should hold up, plus a lot of different types.  Blue guns only have a couple.  Blue gun prices are about $60 and up.  So if you do a lot of different holsters for clients, might be worth while.  Just my 2 cents,

Exactly,don't know id it matters but i have seen a few where the barrels were not the strieghtest,but probably no problemo for moulding. :)

Bunkhouse Tools  http://www.bunkhousetools.com/   has started casting dummy guns from what I think he describes as a glass filled resin of some sort or another.  There are at least several new models that he does not show yet so you would need to call him for styles and prices.  I am thinking they are in the mid $30 range.  Look to middle of page linked to below for pictures.
