Sonic Cleaning Brass Cases

The last time I was at our local Cabella's store I noticed they were selling a Sonic Cleaning device by Hornady to clean brass with.

Has anyone ever used one of these? Do you see any benefits from using one of these devices? I'm wondering if it may be helpful in cleaning primer pockets. From the product description it appears that you would still need to polish the brass.

These work GREAT! They will micro-clean your gunparts and brass in just a few minutes. I wouldn't recommend them for brass that is used with B.P. though. The cleaning fluid that they use is petoleum based and B.P. cleans uo best with soap and water. I got every action part of a 77 year old Win. Mod 97 squeeky clean in even the smallest nooks, holes and slots in 6 minutes. You may want to look at Harbor Freight. They have a large model (1 1/2 liters) for under $80.00

Bugscuffle, what fluid or cleaner did you use on the 97? My brand new Harbor Freight sonic machine with Harbor Freight cleaner didn't do as well on a Danish Kreig bolt parts.

Lyman Turbo-Sonic Steel and Gun Parts Cleaning Solutuion for the gun parts. There is also Lyman Brass Turbo-Sonic Brass Cleaner. I get both of these trough Midway.
