Dutch,  your post made me drool on some paperwork and also made my cholesterol go up 20 points.  If we ever get a convention down this way, there's a place across the lake from me called "The Flying Saucer". 200 different beers and the best dang plate of chili cheese fries with about a pound of BACON bits sprinkled on the top.

Jeff checked with the motel today and they have a meeting room and the breakfast area that could be used for a get together on Friday night.  There are 10 rooms left in our block for the Convention.  If you haven't made those reservations, don't wait too long.  JIM

Hey,  Bowiemaker...Give me a call at 417-359-8880 as I have a couple of questions about vendor sign-up.

Several of us from KS/MO have registered as vendors, there was no place on the app. to register ladies for the tea. Soooo...
Pat Croft, Jackie Kirkeby, Anastasia Tatham, and Michele Torrence need to be registered for the tea. May I consider it done?

You probably want to email or PM Jim Mullins. There is an email link to him in the Convention info on the web site.

Put Kay Ray and Becky Beechler down as attending the Tea as well.  We will be coming up from Texas.  The last 2 years the Convention Committee has solicited donations to pay for the Tea rather than increase the convention registration fee or charge the ladies.  Is your intent to do the same?

I'm confused.  I made our reservations at The Comfort Inn.  Is it the Sleep Inn that has the NCOWS rate?

Tascosa Joe, that would be our intentions.  Anyone wanting to donate for the tea, can do so at the Convention.  Thanks.   JIM

Count me in as a Vendor again this year. Paperwork is going into the mail tomorrow and I am looking for accomodations in Shepherdsville. See Y'all when I get there Thursday evening.

Only 1 month until the convention!

Remember if you want to attend the banquet Saturday night or the Ladies Tea Saturday afternoon you must make your reservation by March 1.

Bowiemaker:
When we sent the reservations in did we not get a reservation for the Banquet?   I think I sent the extra money when I reserved my table.

Yes, if you checked banquet tickets on your vendor application you do have a reservation.

For those of you coming from the west or northwest, the Sherman Minton bridge has been repaired and it IS OPEN.
That is the I-64 bridge over the Ohio River between New Albany, Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky.

Who is in charge of the convention. I recall a request for assistance to man the door, but can't locate the post now. I am arriving on Thursday, so I am available to assist on Friday or Saturday.

I have updated all the convention information I have and added a lot information on the JCR/NCOWS Convention web page at http://www.jcrangers.com/2012convention.htm. You will find directions, vendors, seminars, lots of general information, accomodations, dining, area attractions, and gun laws and regulations.

We have a table this weekend at one of the biggest gun shows to promote the convention and NCOWS. There is a lot of interest in this area and surrounding states. The response has been great. This will be a great opportunity to introduce NCOWS to a lot of newcomers.

ONLY 19 DAYS UNTIL WE SADDLE UP!

We had a display table at the National Gun Day Show in Louisville, KY this past weeked to promote NCOWS and the National Convention. This is a 2000 table gun show that draws people from several states. JD Goodguy, Ima Shureshot, Bushwahcker, One Eye Floozy, JW McCandles and Sierra Sue volunteered to man the table.

We had a HUGE crowd at the show on Saturday. Sunday was slower but still a lot of traffic. Once again we saw a lot of interest in NCOWS. Many said they would come to the convention.

We signed up two new NCOWS members and one new convention vendor (dealing in Colts).

Thanks to everyone who helped out.
