Lil Jimmy - You had trouble sleeping in a rainstorm?  I sleep REALLY well ... unless it's a super-storm, and even those I can sleep well 'thru.

Most would be happier for rain than snow!

Bowiemaker, I guess I have not had the pleasure of meeting you at the Convention. I have been hanging around with Major 2 and the guys from Florida, and Texas Jack Stephens and Rowdy Fulcher.

It now looks like I'll be the Lone Ranger from this part of Indy.  Bill's leg is causing him big problems, Bart is gonna work, Tony and Dave have "Mom's Health issues."  She could use some extra prayers, pards.

But I'll be there!  Doesn't it start around 09:00?  Anybody staying right THERE at the Conv. Center (or is there no hotel on site)?

Looks like my "No snow" edict to Momma Nature got heard!
::)
;)

See ya in the funny papers!

Prayers for those needed Bailey. Now as for the weather and no snow you can take that to the bank as we have only had 2 days all this winter one of which was nothing really.  ;D

I'm very sorry I didn't get to meet Bowiemaker.  I was at his table twice but he was away.
:(

I'm sure we SAW each other, but ...

I was honored to meet Mr. Walt Kirst and his sidekick, Jay "Raven" Strite.  These guys have forgotten more about these guns than I'll ever know!  And wow!  That Walker prototype is awesome!  I can't wait for the upcoming article in Guns of the Old West magazine about the Walker and the Walker carbine/rifle prototypes!

(Don't take offense, Jay - if I may be so bold ... "Sidekick" is an honoured term in my version of the Olde West, as I'm sure you may have figured out!)

I am sorry that I didn't get to meet everyone. I was away from my table a lot taking pictures, at seminars, and running around seeing the show. It was a busy weekend for me but I had a lot of fun. I did get to meet several people that I only knew from the forums and that was great.

All-in-all I think it was a very sucessful convention.  It was my first one so I can't compare but I thought it went very well.

The banquet dinner was great. A lot of really nice door prizes were given away and I especially want to thank everyone who donated. We had several interesting seminars and quite a few vendors with some really neat stuff. The congress meeting apparently went pretty smoothly and they finished before midnight. I wanted to make my donation tot he poker tournament but couldn't get away at the time. They had a pretty good group at the ladies tea.

Just a really good weekend with with great people. I am very happy that the 2013 convention will be here.

Joec, Was good to met you and put a face to the name. You're not going to believe this, but the lady that won the gun at the Eastern Regional won this gun too. She said she needed it to balance herself out. Hope Lisa enjoys boh guns. Tj

I have no doubt someone else won it since my luck is just bad with these raffles.  ;D I truly hope she feels balanced now too.  ;) Great to meet you too TJ and will try to make at least one of your meets in the season also.
