I have many different types of small arms in my collection: from an M1 Thompson to Ak's to Ar's, etc. My first weapons (and love of weapons) were fintlocks/percussions (1750-1860's).

Several years ago, I bought an Armi Spencer in 44 Russian to match an open top (replica) I like to shoot.  I fixed the inherent flaws thanks to this site. And after extensive reading/research, I plan on getting a 56-50.

These (Spencers)are the weapons I like to shoot more than any others. I enjoy walking through the woods plinking (I'm not a hunter). They have ambiance and historical relevance. But more important, they're just fun to shoot.

Thanks to this site and Mr. 2 Flints ( and many others who post here) for all the information and dedication to this firearm.
