Windy City & Books,
Please change my category to Scout (Black powder).

No sense in Yuma walking away with a prize mug. ;D

A few questions:

1. with 15 registered shooters are you planning on only using 1 squad?

2. would it be possible for a competitor to register in 2 classes?
3. if so what would it cost for the second registration?

4. Is there an approximate round count yet?

We will be having around 22 -24 shooter. Planning on having two squads.
Approximate round count will be:
Main match Rifle 106 / Pistol 81
Era of Expansion Rifle 20 / Pistol 20
Long range Rifle 10 / Pistol 10
Side matches Pistol 30
If you brought 150 rounds each for rifle & pistol, it should be plenty.

Drydock

Shotgun is for the Foragers?

I'll have some books for the prize table.
Civilize them with a Krag . . .

I have some items to bring for the door prize table also.

Had not planned on bringing a shotgun unless you included the '97 for the expansion era match like they did last year.  As Drydock pointed out Forager class is the only one listed as using shotguns for the main match.

Any idea on time schedules for the event.  Want to make sure I know what time to be there each day.

At the urging of Windy City Joe, I have included a shotgun in one of the stages I wrote .... but a staged gun and ammunition will be supplied for that one.

As usual, I have an item or two I can bring for the prize table.  One in particular I have in mind is a full box (20 rounds) of Frankford Arsenal  ".38 Revolver Ball Cartridges, Reloading".  (It has been awhile since I wrapped it up in cellophane for protection, but as I recall they are dated '06 on the headstamp, so they do fall nicely into the Era of Expansion at any rate.)

I am travelling once again all the way from the remote fastness North of the Great Medicine Line ..... so I encourage others to make the necessary arrangements to attend!

I am continuing to work on a couple of other chaps up here to take in a Muster.  Almost had one of them convinced for this year, I think, but then some "family commitment" intervened.

When can we start setting up? Thursday or Friday

You can set-up on Thursday if you want. Some of us local boys will arrive on Wednesday to start setting up the range. Thursday we are planning to set up the saloon and last minute stuff. If you arrive early you will have to do your own cooking.

Yes, by all means you will need a bayonet, sword; on two stages you will use a bayonet.

Don't forget to bring extra rounds of pistol ammo for the side matches on Friday.
On Friday I would like to have the safety meeting at 0845 and start shooting by 0930.

So far we have 27 shooters.

More good news! I started filling out the form to take a 1/2 day of comp on Friday the 28th and realized that it's Fall Break. That means I'll be able to leave Thursday right after the football game and I should actually be able to be there for some of the side matches! That means I will only be able to shoot one class in the main match because I don't have enough brass for both matches. Oh well, it's a small price to pay to get in on the sidematches!

What does the Friday Schedule look like. With the change in travel plans, I'd like to take part in as many of the side matches as possible but probably won't be able to be there until later in the morning or afternoon friday.

Could I get driving directions from Garnett to the range?  Those numbers don't work in Google map I'm afraid.

You only need shotgun shells if you are shooting the Forager class.
There are a few stages that you will use a shotgun and we will supply both for you. We will also supply the rifle prop with bayonet.
150 rounds each for both the rifle and pistol should be enough.
If you have any last minute questions let me know.

Windy,
Does the range have a postal address?  The coordinates you gave took me to Fort Scott, KS.  I think my GPS device works a lot better with an address.
