Here is the old Collins holster that I got awhile back at a gun show.

I made the guy I bought it from a copy of this holster, and failed to get pics. SO, I have this one, which is the first copy I made, and not quite as nice as the 2nd one.

The rivet shot shows the rivets going through the lining.

It is an unusually shaped holster.
I have been trying to figure out what it fits. The top portion/cylinder area is about SAA sized, but the boot/toe area is narrow, and doesnt show any wear that relates to an ejector housing.

It is huge on opentop Colts. I thought maybe a Merwin, but a test fit proved that the holster was too tight. Maybe a S&W topbreak of some sort?
A Starr does not fit either.

Sadly, someone cut the stitching on it and removed the lining at some point before I got it. I have no plans to restitch, as I think they would tear through.

Very nice job on the remake Dalton.

That is a very interesting holster and you did a remarkable job on the new one.

The stitching was so close to the edge and about 8 TPI on those old ones and I could see it being hard to restitch if the leather is not in extremely good condition.

Yes, that was my prognosis too. The holes are intact, but I think that any bit of pulling would tear them out. It will remain as is in the unstitched condition.
I did do the 8 tpi on this remake, but wont do that much. The other one that I redid for the previous owner got the 5 per inch stitching, which was much nicer to work with.

Thanks for the looks all.
