I plan to have supper for those who arrive on the 28th, most likely something easy and quick, those cheese steaks on biscuits may be on the menu since they are quick to make after camp is set up.

To make my expenses, $7 a meal will work, I'm much better off than last year, but a head count for meals would help

Since this will be my first time, I don't know how many meals to plan on - will you be serving three meals on all three days plus supper on Thursday?

Supper Thursday, all three Sat and Fri, breakfast on Sunday and if it looks like we need it we'll do noon on Sun.

Got some added stuff, first of all on the 4th we went to SIL's, she is the queen of deciding things need done at the last minute, about an hour before we were going to leave, she called and wanted me to make brewed ice tea cause she says I do it so good.  Anyway, that worked because my stoarage unit was on the way.  Stopped and went to get the Igloo, it wasn't there, then I remembered the kids had borrowed it and some other gear to go camping and they live clear across town and wern't home anyway.  Wife said stop at the hardware store and buy another one because she was sure I could use another one anyway.  Well who am I to argue logic so I'll have two, one for water, one for tea and there will be John's to take to the fort and the EE match.

Also stopped at the hardware store today, (a real one, not no big box one, got a story about one of them, ain't good, I ain't real happy standing outside in the sun an hour to do a pick-up that should have taken 5 minutes, before I left I managed to be ruder to the stupid rude people than they were) bought two of these, look fairly good, nice oak wood, no C scale, just F.

The liquid is blue, should be silver but they tell use the silver ones will cause brain damage if we break them open and eat the quicksilver. ::)

Going to mount them on stakes, put one near where I cook, I'm just curious, might scare me if I blow the tops out. ;D

Best thing, they were only $3.99  and the guys at the big box store said they don't make them any more.  (That was on Monday when my wife bought the stuff I tried to pick up yesterday.)  I was still talking to them then.

Delmonico- I've sent in my registration, but still not sure exactly how many meals I'll be at. Will be traveling with Wife and 2 year old, so if it's a heat wave like we've been having, we'll be in a motel, so I'll mostly just be having lunch. But if the weather is more agreeable, they'll be camping, so we'll all be eating most of the meals.

Delmonico

OK, a lucky score at a garage sale today, Delmonico has an old time popcorn popper for camp fires and fire places. ;D  It's not real big, but could be fun to play with.  Got it in a bulk deal, even got a fireplace screen we can set up so the fire don't pop embers in someone's lap. ;D

Oh BTW, anyone need a fireplace screen? ::)

You know Del?  You might oughta keep that fireplace screen.  You know, just in case, since demonstration cooking is sort of a occupation for you, and just in case OSHA should ever come out and require it.

Just a thought.  You never know when Big Brother's gonna come by. ;D
