My wife's 55 year old all wood ironing board finally broke.  I can't find any that have wood tops and wood legs anymore.

Any help?

I'd even pay a reasonable amount to have one made...or would consider a good, sound old one.

I don't care if my clothes are wrinkled or not unless I'm going to a marryin' or a buryin' (In either case a good man gone) but my wife is still a professional and her clients expect her to look neat and presses.

Forty Rod,
this probably won't help you much, cause the shipping alone from Omaha will most likely scare the bajeebers out of your pocket book.

Maybe. I'll keep it in mind, though.  Might e worth the price to have peace in the house.

I make it no secret, I'm a trash truck driver.  I had to toss one of these just last week.  Looked  like it was in real good condition too.  Dadgummed worthless rat bastuds just don't know what they got!  Throwin' perfectly good stuff to the landfill. >:(

Not many all wood ones around.  Folks used them until they fell apart...like my wife's old board did...and them chucked them out or burned them.  Most that survived should have been scrapped.

Find an old retired wood worker in your area and give him the old board for a pattern.  Presto: Wife happy - old retired guy beer money.  ;)

Only woodworker I knew around here was Sam Malouf.  His rocking chairs and some of his other stuff was selling for thousands of dollars before he died.  They're off the charts now.
