Hello all,  I'm thinking about doing a inlay knife sheath with sting ray or snake skin as the inlay and did not know how to go about dying it? I have watched Chuck Burrows video and it was a great!! But did not know if you dye the inside before you sew it? and the out side do you seal the inlay and dip it or do you wipe the dye on? I have problems around the belt loop. When I wipe the dye on under and around the belt loop the color always comes out uneven.
Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

pard , just dye everything that needs to be dyed before you do your sewing, a final finish won't be hard after it is all together.
