Here is my "38 special ejectorless navy sheriff".
I dont know if you guys will like it.
The groundhogs hate it.

Rusty - being a "Remmie Lover" as well as a ".38 spl. lover" - I can tell you that if I had that fine looking shootin' iron, I'd think that I'd died and gone to heaven.  That just looks like too much fun!  And . . I imagine the woodchucks DO hate it . . screw 'em if they can't take a joke . . . nasty little critters anyways.  I'd like to hear more about your pistol - did you make the conversion or buy it that way?  I could see something like that "joining my herd".   :)

Howdy RS,

What's not to like? However, Is the barrel original to the gun? If so, what loads/bullets are you using. I have a 36 navy conversion with the standard percussion barrel and it shoots standard 38 S&W's like a shotgun. I'm not having much luck yet with hollow base wad cutters (yes, I put the hollow base towards the powder).

Cordially,

Reverend Chase

It is a pietta 44 cal that was sleeved to 38 special.  No need for hb bullets.
Has a kirst konverter with loading gate.

Minimum load with HP38.  158gr lead bullet.  I always use minimum loads.  Even in my steel frames.  Handles better and more accurate.
