Does anyone make a 1873 Short Rifle 20" ROUND barrel rifle?

I know they have them in the 20" Oct barrel but looking for one like the original 20" round.

Thanks

No.  People don't seem to mind round barrels on carbines, but most people want octagon on their rifles.  Even on the originals the round barrel rifle was "standard" but you see very few of them.  Most people paid extra for the octagon.  Closest thing you will find are the so-called brush poppers that have 18" half-round/half-octagon barrels.

Thanks. I know there were rare back then also but they were so pretty.

Heh... to me, the octagon barrels are the most handsome.

I love an octagon barrel but I also like a 20" round barrel and think that the forend caps are better looking than the barrel bands. That is what I thought was neat about the 20" short rifle. You get the 20" barrel but with the forend cap instead of the bands.

I debated a long time when I had decided I wanted a 73.  And I came to pretty much the same conclusion as others here.  Love the octogon barrel and the look of the short rifle is just cooler to me than the carbine.
