I made some walnut dye from the powdered stuff that I got off the Net. I was wondering what type of finish to use over it. I was also wondering if it will rub off on clothes. Any suggestions.
God is fluxing me which is good but it is not fun.

I like to put on a very light coat of EVOO followed by a little Lexol conditioner. Then I buff the whole thing with a cotton cloth. I've not had any rub off after that. My dye is lighter than some so TW or Chuck may have more input for you.

I used EVOO and Tan Kote over that on a few and it seems to work fine. I will be trying EVOO and Skidmores on the set I am making now. Test pieces have come out nice. We will see???  ;)

EVOO or sometimes little neatsfoot if I want to alter the color. The some Lexol and topped with Bag Kote.
