Hey Guys! It's not very often I get a nice writeup about my business, so I wanted to share with everyone. Here's the link to the article in "Rein" magazine, my article is on page 18.

That article brought me back to my high school days ... I was such a rotter that I was sent to military school.

One of the nicest things there was that on weekends we could rent a horse and ride ...there was a little copse of trees on the back of the campus, and riding out there was such a release from the military presence.

There was an 'old guy' ... not so old now, but he seemed like he was made of the leather of the saddles ... anyway, he set me up with a gentle horse and what he called a 'Plantation Saddle' ... supposedly made for overseers of the plantation who were often in the saddle from dawn to dusk.

It was the most comfortable I have ever been on a horse ... not unike a McClellan Saddle but more comfy ....

The school closed down in the 70s ... I guess no one wanted to prep their son for a possibly very short miltary career in Vietnam ....

But I wish I would have bought that saddle ....
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

David you did amazing work and deserve the accolades.  Really nice article, should be very pleased.  I remember a few years ago, my wife was featured for a bow she made in Primitive Archer magazine, she was on cloud nine for months.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. I feel that "Tombstone" was the movie that stepped up the authenticity for guns, gun leather and clothing. Today's audience wants authenticity, not only on clothing, guns, gun leather but also saddles. We need to keep supporting them so they will keep making them!
