I am posting this in the NCOWS forum because there are a bunch of NCOWS members that live in Iowa.

I am looking for an obituary for Sacket Sears. He lived in Cass County Iowa during the latter part of the 1800's. He died in 1899 and was buried in the Atlantic Cemetery. Does anyone live near Atlantic and know an organization (newspaper, library, historical society, etc.) that might have a copy of his obit?
TIA,

Slim

St. George

Take a look at www.genforum.com and type in his name.

Some of the geneaological sites are filled with this sort of information and you never know - you may strike gold.

Good Luck.

Hey Slim!
Try "Googling" his name. Believe it or not, I found info on my family tree that went back to my GGGreat Grandfather in the 1700s, that matched the "unpublished" information that my Aunt passed on to me. Even found out that we had more Native American ancestry than I was orginially told by my Dad and Aunt.

Yep, I did that but didn't find any new info.
Thanks, Rawhide Rio.
